Unfortunately, items such as these were produced in such huge quantities and saved by so many families that their value today is extremely small. I would estimate the retail value of each in the $10 - $15 range maximum. The only exception would likely be if the newspaper were a paper from Dallas Texas from the assassination day then it has a somewhat higher value. Hope this helps.

    1. Kandi: These letters do make this a bit more interesting, however the record itself has little value. I would recommend having an expert take a look at the letters since letters that add "historical value" or have historical significance could possible add to the value.

  4. The monetary value of this record may not be much but it still a great collectors item and a unique item to own. I own this particular LP myself and it is a cool find. The audio quality is not that great because this and other records like this were thrown together quickly after the assassination with no time to get access to the original masters. However the JFK library web site has many great sounding recordings.

Unfortunately there are so many of these record albums around that their value is very very low.If you sell it on ebay I would estimate it will sell - if at all - for around $5 - $10. Be sure to mention in your listin gthat it is in excellent condition, that might help your cause. Good luck!

  6. I have a 45 rpm record of a collection of speeches made by President Kennedy in the original paper sleeve. This was published by HIT records and is record number 99. There are no scratches but the sleeve has yellowed. Do you know what its value would be?

  7. The retail price for these albums in the condition you described, typically ranges in the $10 - $20 range. on ebay, you would probably get about half that amount.

  8. I have a typewritten thank you letter dated January 19, 1961 from John F. Kennedy to my grandmother. Initials JFK/ba on bottom left but hard to tell if signature is autopen or original. He states "Now that our campaign has been brought to a successful conclusion, I want to thank you for your good work with the Citizens for Kennedy and Johnson. I am very grateful for your contribution to our victory. We now have the opportunity of continuing to work together for our country's welfare during the next four years. Please accept my personal gratitude for your help." Is this letter worth anything or is it a standard form style letter? You can tell is is typewritten as the key strokes are imprinted on the paper. It has United States Senate letterhead.
