John F Kennedy Bust

Submitted by Stephanie:
I have an old JFK bust that I have unsuccessfully searched for information on for years. The bust is solid marble, I believe and the base is wood. It is about 11 inches tall. Do you have any information on this bust, or an estimated value? I just took a close look at the bust and cannot find any kind of marking. But, I have just noticed that the wooden base may have been added to the bust. It looks like it may have been glued onto the top portion, and not be original to the bust. The base is nice, but there is visible glue and the fit to the base of the bust is not perfect. I'm not an expert, though. so it could have been made this way. The top of the bust is what I assume is marble, in an ivory color, and very heavy. I don't know if busts were made of actual ivory, but it almost feels like it could be made of ivory, if not marble.

Bronze John F. Kennedy Bust

Submitted by Chris:
This is a bronze(?) bust of JFK. The story is that the bust was a gift to his grandfather, who worked as a campaign staffer for the Democrats. I haven't been able to find a value at any of my normal sources. Could you possibly take a look and let me know if you have an idea whether it is worth anything?

Can you help Chris identify this item and its value? If so, please click on the comment button or email us at lori@loriferber.com and we'll forward the response to Chris.

John F. Kennedy Bust

Submitted by Kent: I have a 12 1/2" high x 7" wide plaster bust of JFK. It has brown or bronze paint. It is in excellent condition. I can't find one like it anywhere after many hours of research. It belonged to my great grandparents. How do I find the value and history? Thank you.
