Franklin Roosevelt Belgium Memorial Piece

I have a woven portrait of FDR that was issued on the occasion of the liberation of Belgium. This piece served a dual purpose, both as a celebratory item for the liberation, as well as an FDR memorial piece. It was woven by a Belgian concern (Edmond Meert, 1869-1961) in appreciation and “Presented as a tribute of thankfulness to their American friends.” These words are woven into the bottom of the portrait. The dates sewn into the piece are 1932-1945 (the year of his death), as well as the black band in the upper corner for the memorial piece.
